Body
WHEREAS, during the extreme cold temperatures in the Kansas City area and rolling power outages implemented by Evergy, Inc., in February 2021, several coils on the air handler units at the Jackson County Detention Center exploded, requiring emergency repairs; and,

WHEREAS, Evergy has now reimbursed funds to the County in the amount of $37,350.00, representing the cost of the emergency repairs; and,

WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the reimbursement funds in the appropriate account; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the undesignated fund balance of the 2022 General Fund be and hereby is made:
