Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 6682, dated November 24, 1986, the Legislature established the Jackson County Homelessness Trust Fund of the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation and authorized an Agreement to govern the Fund's business; and,
WHEREAS, this Agreement established an advisory committee to oversee investment of the fund's corpus and grants out of the fund's interest earnings to benefit homeless persons; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Amendment is necessary to update the Advisory Committee selection guidelines, reflect the current landscape of local homeless coalitions and support organizations, and eliminate appointed Advisory Committee member positions assigned to groups that no longer exist; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Amendment to the Jackson County Homelessness Trust Fund of the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
