Frank White, Jr., County Executive, was not present. Troy Schulte, County
Administrator, said the County is back to normal after the ransomware
attack. Jeanie Lauer, County Legislator, asked what percentage of the
County operations are returned to normal. Mr. Schulte reported that
everything is nearly back to normal. Some camera operations are not yet
working and there are some connectivity issues. Donna Peyton, County
Legislator, said she applauds the IT Department. She asked about the lines
at the Historic Truman Courthouse in Independence and how the information
is being distributed. Mr. Schulte said they are scheduling appointments with
mornings prioritized for elderly and disabled persons. Appointments can be
scheduled through Qless. Walk-ins are accepted in the afternoon. Everyone
in line this morning was given an appointment. The Assessment and
Collection Departments are working on a quicker turnaround on requests for
tax waivers. The County is working with local media to publicize the process
and information is posted on the website. He said they will continue to look
at options to communicate this information to the public. Mr. Schulte said
everyone in line this morning was given an appointment today. Ms. Peyton
