WHEREAS, the Family Court's Resource Services Department relocated from Kansas City to a new location in Independence in December 2017; and,

WHEREAS, due to this relocation, the Kansas City Police Department is no longer able to provide security for the Resource Services Department; and,

WHEREAS, instead, the Sheriff's Office has contracted with the Resource Services Department for security services; and,

WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to place the funds needed to reimburse the Sheriff's Office for its services in the proper spending account; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive has recommended said transfer; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2018 General Fund be and hereby is made:
