Body
WHEREAS, the Parks + Rec Department has a need for a bucket truck to replace an existing truck that has exceeded its useful life; and,
WHEREAS, the model of bucket truck that has been chosen has expanded capabilities, reducing the need for rentals and will be an asset for other departments to utilize; and,
WHEREAS, the Parks + Rec Department has requested the use of Sourcewell (NJPA) contract with Time Manufacturing Company, the manufacturer of the bucket truck, and the use of the Sourcewell (formerly NJPA) contract would provide better pricing by purchasing directly from the manufacturer as well as a large quantity discount; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.4 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the purchase of the needed bucket truck from Time Manufacturing Company of Waco, TX, under the terms and conditions of Sourcewell Contract 012418-TIM, an existing competitively bid contract; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
